Paying child maintenance and other maintenance payments

The Collection Agency for Child Support and Overpaid Benefits is responsible for the collection of maintenance claims. The Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) determines these claims.

Payment

Child maintenance, extraordinary payments, maintenance for children aged 18 years, incorrectly paid advance maintenance, maintenance payment to a former spouse and other claims related to maintenance
Unable to pay now

If you’re unable to pay the entire amount immediately, you can apply for a payment agreement.
Appeal

You can appeal the case processing and our decisions on the collection process or the payment of the claim.
Did you pay too much child maintenance?

If you’ve received a decision from NAV that you’ve paid too much maintenance, you can apply for an offset against future child maintenance.
Power of attorney

You can give power of attorney to third parties, so that they can share your information and enter agreements on your behalf and represent you legally.
Receiving child maintenance and other maintenance payments

We collect maintenance on your behalf as maintenance recipient.
